dry this guitar played very nicely, it has a fairly bright tone, a little bassier but very nice. But when connected to a combo it is much worse because the electronics have changed from Shadow to Dr. Parts. Also the quality of workmanship is questionable. I took my new guitar out of the box and the edges were scuffed, worn and the lacquer was scratched, in places as if badly varnished. at this price the guitar plays nicely, although with the electronics it's pretty poor
