Very handy microphone, I tried playing with whisks, but also with mallets. It faithfully transmitted even low volume with whisks, and I didn't notice any distortion or "rustle" with mallets and strong blows (both methods I recorded and examined in detail). It certainly cannot be compared with microphones of a higher price category, but for the price it is absolutely great.
