New & Advanced Technology

WIDE is not your typical M/S processor. It is built on our patented sample-accurate spectral transform, employing feature extraction to identify time/frequency sound components suitable for image widening from your input signal, while preserving the original audio. The extracted patterns are then modified or new, similar content is generated using resynthesis, distributing the results across the stereo field.

In simpler terms, WIDE employs advanced techniques to ensure 100% mono compatibility, minimal artifacts and coloration, and an impressively detailed stereo image—even when upmixing from mono to stereo!

100% Mono Compatibility

WIDE generates the audio content used for the widening effect, allowing complete control over what is produced. By default, the components added by WIDE do not cancel out or partially phase when the output is folded down to mono, ensuring that your carefully crafted details remain intact. For added flexibility, you can choose to have the effect disappear in mono with a simple click. A switch is also provided for quick mono mixdown checks.

Frequency Dependent Width, Zynaptiq-Easy

Need more width in the mid-range while keeping bass frequencies in mono and leaving treble untouched? WIDE makes it easy. The main WIDTH control can be adjusted negatively to narrow the stereo image down to mono, and our trademark BIAS functionality allows for precise frequency-dependent adjustments. You can select a preset BIAS Curve using our classic hover menu or create your own using an intuitive graphic EQ-style set of sliders, making adjustments quick and straightforward.
