The Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian pedal is a contemporary version of the legendary Tall Font Russian Muffs. This was the 2nd Muff variant in large green case with the typical label. Its sound is similar to the previous model, "Civil War", the tone is more aggressive and more fuzzy than its predecessor. According to Wren and Cuff it was very complicated to reproduce this sound, they had to find the right transistors. When analyzing the original circuit they found that the absolutely abysmal original potentiometers had significant influence on the basic sound!
