Vio-lence is a thrash metal band from the San Francisco Bay Area, formed in 1985. Known as part of the "Big Six of Bay Area Thrash Metal," they played a key role in the scene’s influential second wave alongside bands like Exodus and Testament. Their classic lineup featured Phil Demmel, Robb Flynn, Deen Dell, Perry Strickland, and Sean Killian, who together recorded their three acclaimed albums: Eternal Nightmare, Oppressing the Masses, and Nothing to Gain. After disbanding in 1994 and reuniting periodically, Vio-lence reformed in 2019 and released their first new material in nearly thirty years with the Let the World Burn EP in 2022. The current lineup is led by Sean Killian, joined by Mario Salcedo, Nick Souza, and Max Mayhem for live shows.
