Ultravox

Ultravox

Ultravox was a British new wave band formed in London in 1974, originally known as Tiger Lily. The band first found success with John Foxx as their frontman, but it was after Midge Ure joined in 1979 that Ultravox achieved their greatest commercial impact. Between 1980 and 1986, they released a string of Top Ten albums and hit singles in the UK, notably the iconic song Vienna in 1981. After disbanding in 1987, Ultravox briefly returned in the 1990s and later reunited with their classic lineup in 2008, releasing the album Brilliant in 2012. The band performed their last shows in 2013 and have since ceased activity.
