The Congos are a renowned reggae vocal group from Jamaica, founded in the mid-1970s by "Ashanti" Roy Johnson and Cedric Myton. Originally a duo, they became a trio with Watty Burnett. Best known for their classic album Heart of the Congos, produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry, the group has remained influential in roots reggae, performing and recording on and off for decades.
