Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., known professionally as Snoop Dogg, is an American rapper, record producer, and actor born on October 20, 1971. As a major force in West Coast hip-hop, Snoop Dogg is celebrated for his laid-back lyrical style, clever wordplay, and smooth delivery. He rose to fame in 1992 with standout appearances on Dr. Dre's “Deep Cover” and the landmark album “The Chronic.” His 1993 debut solo album “Doggystyle,” produced by Dr. Dre, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and became a hip-hop classic, featuring hits like “What's My Name?” and “Gin and Juice.” Over his career, Snoop Dogg has released twenty studio albums, selling over 35 million worldwide. He has reinvented himself across genres, as seen in his reggae project as Snoop Lion and a gospel album, “Bible of Love.” Some of his best-known singles include “Drop It Like It's Hot” with Pharrell.
