Folk Songs from the Těšínsko Region for Low Voice and Piano

Písně z Těšínska gathers eleven folk melodies from the Těšínsko region in arrangements by Petr Eben (1929–2007), a leading Czech composer of the twentieth century. Scored for alto or bass voice with piano, the cycle moves from light-hearted humour to lyrical, melancholic moods, drawing on the rhythmic variety and dialect of Silesian folk material. The Bärenreiter Praha edition runs to 35 pages in softbound format, with vocal text in Czech and German.
