Nouvelle Vague is a French band founded by Olivier Libaux and Marc Collin, known for their unique reinterpretations of classic new wave and punk songs from the 1970s and 1980s in a bossa nova style. The group draws inspiration from both the French New Wave cinema and musical movements. Their ever-changing lineup features primarily female vocalists, several of whom have enjoyed successful solo careers, such as Camille, Phoebe Killdeer, Mélanie Pain, and Nadéah Miranda. Although Olivier Libaux passed away in 2021, Nouvelle Vague continues to perform and record, offering a fresh, sophisticated twist on iconic tracks.
