Moonsorrow

Moonsorrow is a metal band from Helsinki, Finland, founded in 1995. Blending black metal and folk influences, they define their style as epic heathen metal, focusing on powerful, pagan, and spiritual themes. Unlike many folk metal groups, Moonsorrow distances their music from the Viking metal label and avoids cheerful or dance-oriented sounds, instead creating challenging and atmospheric compositions inspired by pagan spirituality.
