Meinl Medium Octave Steel 10" F# Minor 432Hz Dark Green Tongue Drum

Meinl Sonic Energy 10" Medium Octave Steel Tongue Drum — F# Minor at 432 Hz

Built around a stainless steel shell, the Meinl Sonic Energy 10" Medium Octave Steel Tongue Drum (MOSTD4DG) delivers meditative, reflective tones tuned to F# Minor at A4 = 432 Hz. Its eight octavated notes span two octaves, producing a handpan-like sustain that responds equally well to gentle finger taps and firmer mallet strikes. Players can place the drum on a flat surface or rest it on the lap and begin playing immediately — every tongue is tuned, so any combination sounds harmonious. The 10-inch form factor keeps the instrument portable enough for retreats, sound bath sessions, or outdoor gatherings.

Designed for Instant Musical Expression

What sets this drum apart is the combination of an octavated note layout and a tunable bottom sound hole. The eight notes (F#3, A3, B3, C#4, D4, E4, F#4, A4) span two octaves, giving players a wider melodic range than typical tongue drums at this size. A silicon plug in the bottom sound hole lets users tighten the tone for a more compact, focused sound. Three silicone feet keep the drum from slipping during energetic play, while a decorative linen/polyester cord adds a refined finishing touch to the Dark Green shell.
