M-Live Lakyx L DMX Software, Interface
The M-Live Lakyx L is a compact USB DMX interface designed to bring automated, music-driven light shows to live performances. When paired with the M-Live B.Beat backing-track player, this hardware unit analyses audio in real time and generates a synchronised DMX light show across a full 512-channel universe. The interface handles both DMX and ArtNet protocols over a single USB-C cable that carries data and power.
- Controls a complete DMX universe of 512 channels with AI-driven automatic light-show generation
- USB-C connection carries both data and power from the host B.Beat device
- 1× DMX input (3-pin XLR) and 1× DMX output (3-pin XLR) with integrated 120 Ohm termination
- Compact 84 × 80 × 61 mm enclosure weighing just 170 g, with hardware bypass and LINK pairing button
M-Live Lakyx L — Compact DMX Interface for Automated Live Light Shows
The M-Live Lakyx L is a hardware DMX interface that turns any B.Beat backing-track rig into a self-contained music-and-lighting playback system. This unit reads the audio in real time and generates a synchronised light show that follows the dynamics and structure of the song. It is the entry-level model in the Lakyx family, below the L1 (128 channels), L5 (512 channels) and L5W (512 wireless DMX) variants.
What Sets This Interface Apart
Unlike generic USB-DMX dongles that only pass through pre-programmed cues, this unit uses an onboard analysis algorithm to interpret the music and build a show that matches the song's style and evolution. A dedicated LINK button enables wireless pairing of multiple modules, while a hardware bypass routes the incoming DMX signal straight through to the output.
DMX Control and Signal Flow
The interface manages a complete DMX universe and supports both legacy DMX and ArtNet transport. Termination is handled internally on both XLR ports, removing the need for external terminator plugs in most setups.
- DMX Universe: 512 channels — full universe from one unit
- Protocol Support: DMX and ArtNet — wired or network transport
- DMX Connectors: 1× 3-pin XLR input, 1× 3-pin XLR output
- Internal Termination: 120 Ohm on both XLR ports — prevents signal reflection
- Hardware Bypass: DMX IN routed directly to DMX OUT
Host Connection and Power
A single USB-C cable links the unit to the B.Beat player, carrying both data and power so no separate PSU is needed on stage.
- Host Interface: USB-C — single-cable data and power link
- Pairing Control: LINK button — hardware pairing for wireless module linking
Physical Footprint and System Requirements
The enclosure fits next to a B.Beat on a pedalboard or in a side rack pocket. For larger rigs, a DMX splitter/repeater is recommended above 32 fixtures.
- Dimensions: 84 × 80 × 61 mm
- Weight: 170 g
- Recommended Splitter Use: DMX splitter/repeater above 32 fixtures
- Minimum System Requirements: 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended), 6 GB free disk space
