The Korg BM-1 is a compact Bluetooth MIDI interface that frees synthesizers, digital pianos, MIDI controllers, and other standard 5-pin DIN-equipped instruments from the constraints of physical cables. With a wireless communication range of up to 20 meters, the BM-1 connects virtually any MIDI-equipped gear to Bluetooth MIDI-capable devices including Windows PCs, Macs, iPhones, iPads, and Bluetooth MIDI controllers.

Cable-Free MIDI Communication

The BM-1 plugs directly into the MIDI OUT terminal of any device with a standard 5-pin DIN MIDI connector and transmits MIDI messages wirelessly over Bluetooth Low Energy. Automatic pairing with BLE-MIDI devices makes setup quick and straightforward, with no drivers or complex configuration required for compatible hosts.

No Power Supply Required

A particularly practical feature is that the BM-1 draws power directly from the MIDI OUT terminal of the connected device — no batteries, no USB cable, and no external power adapter are needed. This keeps the setup minimal and the BM-1 always ready to use whenever it is plugged in.

Flexible Grouping and KORG App Integration

Multiple MIDI devices can be grouped together through the BM-1, enabling flexible wireless MIDI routing across a studio or stage setup. The interface also unlocks additional features within KORG Gadget LE and KORG Module when connected, and firmware updates are delivered conveniently through a dedicated app.
