JBL Quantum Stream Talk Podcast Microphone

Your voice will come through loud and strong thanks to a lightweight, fast-moving diaphragm that's sensitive (-44 dB) and has a wide, flat frequency range (50 Hz ~ 12 kHz). You won't pick up random sounds around the room, because the super cardioid pick-up pattern is hyper-focused on your voice. Press the center of the control knob to mute yourself momentarily. The LED lights at the top of the mic tube will change into red, so you'll always know when you're on mute. The same knob controls both the mic gain (voice going into the mic) and the headphones' volume (voice heard in your headphones), so you can fine-tune how you sound even in the middle of a streaming or recording session.

Frequency Range

Frequency Range: 50 Hz - 12 kHz

The frequency response 50 Hz - 12 kHz provides a wide enough range to capture all the fine musical and sonic details.

Polar Pattern

Polar Pattern: Supercardioid

A supercardioid directional microphone is even more directional than a classic cardioid microphone. This type of microphone is designed to be highly sensitive to sounds coming from the front, while picking up slightly more sounds from the back than a cardioid microphone. This allows it to better isolate the main sound source and minimize ambient noise.

Capsule Type

Capsule Type: Condenser

A condenser microphone is a type of microphone that uses a capacitor to pick up sound. Unlike dynamic microphones, condenser microphones require an external power supply to operate properly. This type of microphone is more sensitive to detail because its diaphragm is sensitive to very fine sound waves, making it ideal for studio recording.
