Jackson C. Frank

Jackson C. Frank

Jackson Carey Frank was an American folk singer-songwriter best known for his sole, self-titled album released in 1965, produced by Paul Simon. Despite his album's lasting influence on artists such as Paul Simon, Sandy Denny, Bert Jansch, and Nick Drake, Frank struggled with mental health issues that kept him from continuing his career. He spent much of his later life in poverty and died in 1999. His poignant legacy endures, with critics calling him one of the most overlooked songwriters of the 1960s.
