I bought the switch as a replacement for a broken one. Guitar: Squier Jazzmaster 40th Anniversary. Compared to the original one, it has a smoother action - it just switches like clockwork. Which I consider an advantage and disadvantage at the same time. On the other hand, if you want to use it as a killswitch ala Tom Morello - absolutely ideal! Otherwise, I would like to mention that I planned to use the original (plastic, white) "cap", but the thread size is different, so watch out for that too.
