Hercules and Love Affair is a dance music project led by Andy Butler, formed in 2004. Known for blending house, disco, techno, and nu-disco, the group features a rotating lineup of guest vocalists and musicians. Originally from New York and now based in Ghent, Belgium, the project gained international attention with the single "Blind," a collaboration with Anohni, and their acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2008. Subsequent albums have included high-profile collaborations with artists such as John Grant and Sharon Van Etten. Their 2022 album In Amber, featuring Anohni and Elin Ey, received critical acclaim and was named Album of the Year by The Arts Desk.
