Perfect sound even with 250 kohm potentiometers. If someone has a telecaster and wants the humbucker sound of a bridge pickup, the chopper is the perfect choice. I don't know if it sounds like a traditional humbucker, but it sounds very good anyway. The Mexican telecaster sounds less treble and more midrange with it. Something like a cross between a telecast and an SG. The twang is somewhat preserved, but less pronounced. That's why it might not be an ideal pickup for country music, but it's great for other genres. Suitable for blues and classic rock.
