Clifford Jordan was a renowned American jazz tenor saxophonist and composer from Chicago. After moving to New York City, he became known for his extensive recording work and international tours across Europe and Africa. Throughout his career, he collaborated with prominent artists such as Art Farmer, Horace Silver, Max Roach, J.J. Johnson, and Kenny Dorham. In addition to performing with Cedar Walton's Eastern Rebellion, he also led his own bands, including a noted big band ensemble.
