City Girls were a hip hop duo from Miami, Florida, formed by Yung Miami and JT. They gained recognition after signing with Quality Control Music and appearing on Drake’s chart-topping hit In My Feelings in 2018. Their debut mixtape, Period, and first album, Girl Code, both launched in 2018, brought them commercial success with singles like Twerk featuring Cardi B and Act Up achieving platinum status. The duo followed with City on Lock in 2020, receiving critical acclaim, but their third album, RAW, released in 2023, saw less impact. Afterward, City Girls announced a hiatus as both members shifted focus to solo careers.
