The mechanical shutter is assisted by an electronic one with the shortest time of 1/16000 second, which is excellent for shooting moving subjects and gives the photographer the certainty of a sharp image even in a very dynamic situation. In a short time, it is also possible to shade more and achieve a shallower depth of field even in stronger ambient light. The Canon EF-S 18-135 IS STM comes as a replacement for the older Canon EF-S 18-135 IS. The novelty is optimized for video recording, for which it is equipped with new technology of a stepper focus motor and dynamic image stabilization. Thanks to the use of these technologies, the new basic zoom smoothly, quietly and precisely focuses at reduced vibrations even during hand-held video recording.
