L'Arpeggiata is a European early music ensemble founded and led by Christina Pluhar since 2000. Renowned for their creative approach, the group specializes in 17th-century Italian, French, and English repertoire, blending traditional early music with imaginative, themed performances and recordings. Known for incorporating instrumental improvisation, they collaborate with both baroque and jazz musicians, giving their sound a unique and modern edge. The ensemble’s regular members include Christina Pluhar on theorbo, Doron David Sherwin on cornetto, Veronika Skuplik and Mira Glodeanu on baroque violin, David Mayoral on percussion, Marcello Vitale on baroque guitar, Boris Schmidt on double bass, Eero Palviainen on archlute and baroque guitar, Sarah Louise Ridy on baroque harp, Margit Übellacker on psalterium, Haru Kitamika on harpsichord and organ, Rodney Prada on viola da gamba, and Josetxu Obregón on baroque cello.
