The paper is made using the traditional method on a cylindrical mould. quality close to that of paper made by craft methods. The slow turning of the cylinder enables the fibres to be deposited evenly and spread in all directions over the wire. The paper is homogeneous, with a flatter surface and better wet strength and stability, giving the artist more control.

The 100% cotton long fibre composition gives the paper beauty, a natural, lasting whiteness and an inimitable touch as well as strength and longevity.

Thanks to the unique sizing and oil barrier (semi-absorbent surface), the paper is ready to use without preparation. Priming is optional: this saves time and there is less risk of damaging the surface in the preparation phase. The paper is scratch resistant. It prevents the formation of grease rings and protects the fibres from oxidation on contact with the ink. It tolerates solvents very well. The paint sits on the surface for excellent colour rendering and faster drying.

Balanced fine texture is comparable to that of stretched canvas, making it very comfortable to work with. Allows the artist to play with the surface and achieve shadow and light effects. Ideal for oil sketches.

The weight and thickness of the paper is suitable for applying paint and impasto. Practical to use as it can easily be cut to the desired size. It is strong but lightweight so it can be easily rolled up for transportation. Ideal for painting outdoors as opposed to canvas.

The paper produced on the cylindrical mould has a natural, decked edge. The untrimmed, irregular edge gives the paper a softer, more authentic look and a closer resemblance to handmade paper.

With alkaline reserve, acid-free, no optical brightening agents (permanent in accordance with ISO 9706)

The authenticity of the paper is guaranteed by a watermark. Shadecraft or shaded watermarks are obtained by impressing a relief image in the metal screen onto which the pulp fixes in the first stage of the papermaking process. There will be less pulp at this place and the motif will be visible when the paper is held up to the light.
