Yuja Wang is a Chinese-born American pianist known for her virtuosity and dynamic stage presence. Beginning her piano studies in Beijing at the age of six, she went on to train at the Central Conservatory of Music and later at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. By 21, she had achieved international acclaim and signed an exclusive recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon. Wang is based in New York.
