Waldorf Microwave 1 - Version 2 (Digital product)

Classic Hybrid Wavetable Synthesis, Reborn

The Waldorf Microwave 1 - Version 2 is a software synth plugin that faithfully recreates the legendary 1989 hybrid wavetable instrument for today's DAWs. Originally celebrated for its unique blend of wavetable oscillators and analogue-style filters, the Microwave defined a generation of electronic sound. This release brings that character back with expanded voice count and creative tools.

What Makes Version 2 Special

Polyphony grows from 8 to 32 voices through additional voice cards, each preserving the micro-timing that gave the hardware its lively feel. Round Robin and Random Robin trigger modes bring natural variation to layered sounds, while per-instrument and global arpeggiators open up complex polyrhythmic patterns.

Who Should Try the Microwave 1 - Version 2

The Waldorf Microwave 1 - Version 2 is the right choice for producers and electronic musicians who want the unmistakable character of a vintage hybrid synth right inside their DAW. Beginners will appreciate the redesigned preset browser with favourites and search, while experienced players will enjoy the expanded polyphony, multi-level undo/redo and simultaneous editing of multiple instrument parts.
