Vibraslaps
Vibraslaps are effect percussion instruments with a rough, rattling sustain that adds an instant dramatic accent to an arrangement. They work in the studio and on stage, especially in Latin, funk, rock or film passages where a short effect needs to cut through the mix. The instrument is held in the hand and sounded by striking the ball or arm, while its construction transfers vibration into the resonating part. When choosing one, consider size, weight and sustain character: a smaller vibraslap reacts faster and sharper, while a larger model usually gives a fuller and longer effect. It is a practical addition for percussionists, drummers and producers who need a strong one-shot sound without complex preparation.
