Vater VHSEW American Hickory Session Drumsticks
American Hickory Session Wood Tip Drumsticks. Comfortable to the traditional 5A player. Small acorn tip for great cymbal and drum sounds. Hickory is the most popular wood used for making drumsticks. Hickory is denser, heavier and more rigid than Maple. Hickory can also absorb a great amount of shock, which reduces hand and wrist fatigue. Dark, or "brown" hickory, is found closer to the tree's center and is slightly denser and heavier than "white" hickory.
Material: Hickory
Known for its excellent balance of strength, flexibility, and shock absorption, hickory is the most common wood used for drumsticks. It provides a natural feel and is ideal for a wide range of musical styles.
Shape: Acorn
Acorn tips provide a balanced mix of articulation and warm tone, making them versatile for various styles. They have a slightly broader surface area which helps in producing full, rounded sounds.
Tip: Wood
Wood tips are the most common and offer a bright, articulate sound with strong attack. The type of wood and shape of the tip affect the tone, making them versatile for many styles.
