The preamplifier feels very robust. It is quite heavy, but you don't have to worry about it being easily damaged mechanically. The switches and potentiometers are also of very high quality. The sound is excellent, although it obviously depends on many circumstances, including the bass guitar itself. With its functionality, the TE Transit B will suit those who only need a few different tone colors and want everything to be set up quickly and easily. There is also a switch for an active and passive instrument. Players who like to experiment with sound will miss the effects loop and more settings. For example, Drive, which sounds very good, can only be adjusted in terms of intensity and mix with a "clean" signal. There is no change in the distortion color. The Compressor, on the other hand, offers separate compression of the low and high bands, which is definitely useful. Apparently, however, for proper functionality, the preamplifier input (top right) needs to be set almost to maximum (before the device starts to overexcite). A good feature is in connection with the clipping of the input, indicated by the red color on the potentiometer. The same applies to the equalizer. It is five-band, which, I think, is too much for some people. :-) But it is great for more detailed settings of the resulting sound. You can also set the order of the equalizer and compressor (pre- / post-). I personally have not used it yet, but again, it may come in handy. The last feature, for which you will probably need a proper PA or amplifier, is the Bass enhancer, which emphasizes sub-bass frequencies. I am excited about the tuner, which is accurate and reliable. Some users report problems with high strings (especially on 6-strings), but I have no problem with my 5-string. Connectivity is absolutely sufficient. The built-in DI outputs are welcome, the AUX In and headphone output work well. The missing one star in the rating is because the device transmits a not extra strong, but noticeable hum. Same as if you touch an unplugged jack (if that makes sense :-). It's obviously not a tool or a cable. I'll try to see if it's an adapter or something else, but it's not very easy to work with, especially when recording. If there's no relatively easy solution, I'll have to return the device. Maybe exchanging it for another one would solve it.
