The sE Electronics sE2200 is a hand-crafted condenser cardiod microphone suitable for vocals, voiceovers, and instrumental applications. It offers two 1" gold-sputtered diaphragms hand-crafted and individually tuned in Shanghai to ensure best possible acoustic performance.
The -10 and -20 dB pad switches provide extended dynamic range, enabling a wide variety of applications and close-mic techniques for even the loudest instruments
Selectable at either 80 or 160 Hz, the two low-cut filters help eliminate low-frequency rumble or footfall noise as well as help compensate for excessive bass caused by proximity effect.
It is bundled together with a shockmount, thread mount adapter and curved metal pop filter, which efficiently slots into the shockmount and is vertically adjustable.
Polar Pattern: Cardioid
The cardioid directional microphone is designed to be most sensitive to sounds coming directly from the front and less sensitive to sounds coming from the sides and back. This directional pattern resembles the shape of a heart (hence the name "cardioid") and is ideal for situations where it is necessary to focus on a single sound source and minimize ambient noise.
