Tremolo String Retainer — Stable String Angle for Locking Nut Performance

The Schaller Tremolo stringretainer in Chrome is a precision-engineered string guide for 7-string guitars with double locking tremolo systems such as the Floyd Rose. Without a retainer bar, strings approach the locking nut at too shallow an angle, leaving gaps between string and nut surface. When the nut clamps down, it pulls strings sharp and burns through the fine tuner's adjustment range. This retainer forces strings to bend down behind the nut, ensuring full surface contact before clamping.

At 54 mm long with 35 mm between mounting holes, it fits standard 7-string headstocks and ships with two M2.2 x 16 mm screws. The round bottom and slight radius keep friction low during tremolo use. Made in Germany by the original manufacturer of the Floyd Rose tremolo.
