František Nedvěd was a Czech folk singer, guitarist, composer, and lyricist born in Prague in 1947. He first gained recognition alongside his brother Jan in the folk group Brontosauři and the folk-gospel ensemble Spirituál kvintet. Together they also performed as the duo Nedvědi. From the mid-1990s, František developed a solo career focused mainly on country music. He dedicated himself to music professionally from 1986 and became a significant figure on the Czech folk and country scene. František Nedvěd passed away in 2021 at the age of 73.
