“Iron Maiden” is the self-titled debut album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. The album was released on 14 April 1980 in the United Kingdom to both critical and commercial success reaching No. 4 in the UK albums chart. In 2017, Rolling Stone magazine listed the album at #13 in the ‘100 Greatest Metal Albums Of All Time’. The cover, designed by long-time collaborator Derek Riggs, served as an introduction to the band’s mascot ‘Eddie’.
