Inspired by Professional Series/MLX drums, Circa 1985.

From local gigs to national tours, Pearl's updated Professional Series drums have a look and sound that fits any live performance space. Beginning in 1985, Pearl introduced its legendary MLX drums under the Professional Series banner to bring the powerful Maple sound to the forefront. Today, the Professional Series returns with the spirit of the original and a refreshed presence for the experienced drummer.

Pearl's new Professional Series drums feature advanced hardware elements and a premium shell to create a player-ready drum set platform. Boasting just enough "Modern Vintage" flair to give it multi-genre versatility, this kit is fit for active gigging and touring.

Its EvenPly-Six (5.4mm) North American Maple shell is made for lively sonic warmth from the cockpit and broadcasts with a broad frequency spectrum in performance. Pearl's classic RL Lug, OptiMount Tom Suspension System, 2.3mm SuperHoop II Triple-Flanged hoops, and Remo UT Pinstripe heads are added for strength and stability.

The tone is rich and full-bodied, with a natural resonance. Maple is highly versatile, making it an ideal choice for a variety of genres, from jazz to rock.
