New Kids on the Block, known as NKOTB, are an American boy band from Dorchester, Massachusetts, featuring Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. Rising to fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s, they sold over 80 million records worldwide and influenced future boy bands like Take That, Backstreet Boys, and NSYNC. The group won two American Music Awards in 1990 and was recognized among Rolling Stone’s top teen idol breakout acts. After disbanding in 1994, they reunited in 2007, released new music, and continue to tour. In 2014, they received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
