It's fine, but not great. It's not polished very well, but you can grind it a little by yourself, if you want. The sound is a matter of taste, but I somehow attached (with a little improvisation) a cabasa to my djembe instead and I like cabasa's sound much than the sound of this kessing. Like I said, its a matter of taste.
