Fabric paint. Painting on fabric requires a technique able to swing from the lightness and transparency of silk to the cottony thickness of felt or wool. Tints of this type have to produce transparency as well as coverage and solidity. The iridescent effects of certain fabrics can be obtained with pearly, iridescent or fluorescent tones expressly designed to work in contrast or accord with the sensual surface of a soft material. Fabric paints, ready to use on any fabric with any brush, with maximum resistance and durability through time. This range contains transparent, opaque, pearl, lustre, iridescent and fluorescent shades and 1 colourless medium to be used in combination with the colours to create lighter shades and glazes. All colours can be mixed. Fabric paints are water-based and can be spread over natural fabrics (cotton, linen, hemp, jute, wool) with brush or sponge. It is advisable to avoid synthetic fibres since they are impermeable, the colour will not penetrate and may not last. Wash new fabrics before applying, to remove the finishing agent. When the paint is perfectly dry, iron the painted surface inside out with a hot iron to ensure the adhesion of the thermo-bonded resin. In order to ensure the colour lasts over time, wash the fabric in lukewarm water, avoiding powerful spin cycles.
