B.Beat is the ideal tool to enhance and simplify live performances for bands using stereo or multitrack sequences, with support for videos and images. It plays music files in WAV, multitrack audio, stems, MIDI, MP4, MOV, and JPG formats. You can use backing tracks ranging from MP3s to full multitrack audio projects from your DAW—up to 16 mono or 8 stereo tracks. B.Beat can store a large number of backing tracks, which can be synchronized with video or images and sent to a video wall via HDMI output. A built-in mixer lets you control individual audio tracks, the six separate outputs, and headphone channels, such as a click track.

Integrated Digital Mixer

B.Beat includes a digital mixer for managing six separate outputs, two inputs, and a headphone output for click, mixer return, and backing tracks. Four convenient knobs allow musicians to quickly balance what they hear in their headphones during a performance. The six outputs can be used to send individual tracks to the stage mixer. Any mono or stereo signal can return to B.Beat through its two inputs. The unit also detects click tracks and can route them to any of the six outputs and the headphones simultaneously.

B.Beat on Stage

B.Beat is built for maximum reliability in live situations. A dedicated button on the [LIVE] panel ensures that, once the show begins, B.Beat operates at full performance capacity, avoiding unnecessary processes. This helps minimize the risk of system crashes or accidental activation of functions during a show.

Performance Organization

Backing tracks can be organized into playlists or full shows made up of multiple scenes. Each project may include music, video, images, and MIDI tracks used to send messages to external devices during live performances. The B.Beat philosophy is to simplify the management of all backing material on stage—eliminating the need for computers, tablets, sound/video cards, mixers, and countless cables. Everything is compacted into a device just a few square centimeters in size and weighing only 600 grams.

Preparing B.Beat for the Show

Once your backing tracks are ready in your DAW, you can transfer them to B.Beat using the included B.Beat Manager app for Windows and macOS. With this app, you can assign outputs, adjust track volumes, and upload synchronized videos or manage visuals separately from the audio.

Using B.Beat with a USB Stick

If you have MP3 backing tracks and prefer not to use a computer, you can simply transfer them to B.Beat using a USB stick, or even play them directly from the stick.

Metronome and Click

B.Beat features a dedicated metronome section that’s easy to use on stage. The click can be routed to one of the six outputs and simultaneously to the drummer’s headphones. If a click track is included in your multitrack backing, B.Beat automatically recognizes it and routes it accordingly.

Website Song Service

B.Beat supports MTA (Multitrack Audio) files from M-Live’s Song Service website. These MTA files provide up to 8 stereo tracks, organized as follows: Drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, orchestra, wind instruments, click, and melody. Projects with up to 16 stereo tracks are also supported and can be created using any DAW and adapted for use with B.Beat.
