Jimmy Cliff, born James Chambers on July 30, 1944, is a renowned Jamaican musician and actor celebrated for his contributions to ska, rocksteady, reggae, and soul. As a multi-instrumentalist and singer, he is recognized for classic songs like Many Rivers to Cross, You Can Get It If You Really Want, The Harder They Come, Reggae Night, and his versions of Wild World and I Can See Clearly Now. Cliff starred in the influential film The Harder They Come, helping to bring reggae to international audiences.
