Instax Square film

Instax Square film comes in a cartridge of 10 shots for Fujifilm Instax Square instant cameras and printers. Each photo measures 8.6 × 7.2 cm with a square image and develops on its own in about 90 seconds. Alongside the classic glossy film with a white border, you will find films with decorative frames and black-and-white Monochrome film. You can buy them in packs of 10 or 20 shots.

Which cameras and printers use Instax Square film?

You can load Instax Square film into any Instax Square camera, including the SQ1. The Instax Square Link printer uses the same film to print a photo from your phone. You can find the cameras among our instant cameras and the printers among our pocket printers.

Instax formats are not interchangeable. An Instax Mini camera takes the smaller Instax Mini film, while Instax Wide film is wider; neither fits a Square camera. The same applies to Polaroid film.

How big is the image on Instax Square film?

The whole photo from Instax Square film measures 8.6 × 7.2 cm, while the square image itself measures 6.2 × 6.2 cm. The border makes up the rest. The image is larger than on Instax Mini film, yet according to the manufacturer, the photo is still easy to carry in a handbag or wallet. The film has a sensitivity of ISO 800 and you can shoot with it at temperatures from 5 to 40 °C. You can keep your finished photos in a photo album.

Glossy film with a white border or film with a decorative frame?

Glossy Instax Square film has a white border where you can write a message. It comes in packs of 10 or 20 shots. Films with frames, such as Black Frame, White Marble, Star Illumination, Rainbow or Sunset, have the same image area and differ only in the colour or pattern of the border.

Sunset has a warm colour gradient around the border that recalls a sunset. Monochrome produces black-and-white photos.
