The SilentPower iPower Elite 5V is an audiophile DC power adapter that replaces the noisy switch-mode supply bundled with most hi-fi components. Active Noise Cancellation II removes incoming EMI and RFI at the source, giving a streamer, DAC, or phono stage a quieter feed so microdetail and dynamics come through more clearly. The 5V/5A output on a 5.5×2.1 mm centre-positive barrel plug fits most 5-volt DC devices.

Generic wall-warts inject broadband noise into the signal chain, masking fine detail and adding a faint haze.
