Faith No More is a rock band from San Francisco, California, originally formed in 1979. The group first performed under the names Sharp Young Men and later Faith No Man before becoming Faith No More in 1983. Their classic and most stable lineup features bassist Billy Gould, keyboardist Roddy Bottum, drummer Mike Bordin, guitarist Jon Hudson, and vocalist Mike Patton. Known for their genre-blending sound and energetic live shows, Faith No More found major success with the albums The Real Thing and Angel Dust. After breaking up in 1998, the band reunited for tours and released Sol Invictus in 2015. Touring activity has remained limited in recent years, and the band is currently on hiatus.
