EMG TM Set Black — Tom Morello's Signature Active Pickup Combo

The EMG TM Set Black reproduces the active pickup configuration behind Tom Morello's guitar sound since the late 1980s. The EMG 85 at the bridge and EMG H at the neck form the foundation of his riffing and effects-driven playing. This signature set brings that combination to any HH-routed electric guitar.

What Makes This Set Unique

Most signature pickup sets pair two humbuckers, but this one pairs a humbucker with a humbucker-sized single-coil. The EMG H is the EMG S single-coil voice inside a humbucking housing, so HH-routed guitars can still pull strat-style chime from the neck.

EMG 85 Bridge Pickup

An EMG 85 sits in the bridge position, one of EMG's earliest active designs. Loaded with Alnico V magnets, it produces a muscular low end and defined midrange with articulate highs.

Solderless Install System

EMG's solderless wiring harness means no soldering iron is required. The included 25k pots, stereo output jack, battery bus, and pre-cut cables let a player swap the pickups into a standard HH guitar.
