EAW MKC50 Wallmount Speaker
The EAW MKC50 is a compact 2-way coaxial point source loudspeaker engineered for small to medium-sized venues where clarity and consistent tonality matter most. Built around a concentric 5.25" woofer and 1" dome tweeter, it delivers phase-coherent sound with smooth response across the crossover region. Flexible mounting accessories and weather-protected variants make it equally at home on a wall, ceiling, pole, or stage wedge.
- Frequency Response: 80 Hz – 20 kHz — full-range reproduction without subwoofer support
- Max SPL: 121 dB — headroom for speech, music, and live performance
- Beamwidth: 110° conical — broad, even coverage that reduces cabinet count per zone
- Power Handling: 150 W @ 8 ohms — pairs cleanly with the EAW UXA4401 amplifier and DSP presets
- Weight: 3.5 kg — light enough for one-person installation on wall, ceiling, or pendant hardware
EAW MKC50 — Compact Coaxial Loudspeaker for Install and Stage
The EAW MKC50 is a 2-way coaxial point source loudspeaker built for sound system designers who need exceptional audio in small and medium-sized spaces. Its concentric driver layout places the 1" dome tweeter inside the 5.25" woofer, so high and low frequencies originate from the same acoustic point — eliminating arrival-time differences that color the crossover region. A 110° conical beamwidth spreads coverage evenly, while a 121 dB maximum SPL keeps speech and music intelligible at higher output levels.
EAW Focusing, DynO and Beamwidth-Matched Crossovers
EAW's proprietary Focusing and DynO processing correct the time-domain anomalies small enclosures introduce near the crossover, restoring transient accuracy and extending usable low-frequency output. Beamwidth-matched crossovers keep the high and low frequency coverage patterns aligned, so off-axis listeners hear the same tonal balance as those directly in front. The cabinet shape is angled for low-profile ceiling, wall, or stage-monitor placement.
Technical Specifications
The MKC50 ships as a passive 8-ohm loudspeaker with Neutrik NL4 and 2-pin barrier strip inputs. Greybox DSP presets for the EAW UXA4401 and UXA4403 amplifiers are preloaded, so commissioning is a matter of selecting the right preset.
- LF Transducer: 1 × 5.25" cone, 1.25" voice coil, vented — handles the 80 Hz – crossover band with controlled excursion
- HF Transducer: 1 × 1" dome tweeter, coaxial — shares the acoustic center with the woofer for seamless integration
- Frequency Response: 80 Hz – 20 kHz — full-range reproduction for speech and music
- Max SPL: 121 dB — sufficient headroom for live performance
- Nominal Beamwidth: 110° conical — wide, even coverage reduces cabinet count per zone
- Power Handling: 150 W @ 8 ohms — single-amp operation with EAW UXA4401 amplifier
- Connections: 1 × Neutrik NL4, 2-pin barrier strip — installer-friendly wiring for permanent or portable rigs
- Dimensions: 235 × 165 × 141 mm — compact form factor fits tight ceiling and wall cavities
- Weight: 3.5 kg — single-installer handling on wall, ceiling, or pendant mounts
Who Should Choose the EAW MKC50
Suited to restaurants, retail spaces, hotel ballrooms, conference rooms, and worship facilities, the MKC50 is the right choice for AV integrators and small-venue operators who need a compact full-range loudspeaker that disappears into the architecture. Touring musicians will appreciate the included pan & tilt bracket and the stage-monitor angle, which lets the same box serve as a front-of-house fill, a delay line, or a floor wedge. Weather-protected variants extend the hardware to outdoor patios.
EAW MKC Series — A New Angle on Installation Loudspeakers
Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) introduced the MKC Series in February 2023 as a four-model line (MKC50, MKC60, MKC80, MKC120) designed to deliver consistent tonality across driver sizes. EAW president TJ Smith described the launch as "approaching installs from a new angle." The MKC50 brings the same Focusing, DynO, and beamwidth-matched crossover technology used in EAW's larger Adaptive and KF Series systems into a 3.5 kg enclosure.
Power (Watt): 150
With power up to 150 W, you get plenty of headroom for impressive volume and dynamics whether you're in the studio, at home, or partying.
Power RMS (Watt): 150
Power output of 150 W RMS (Root Mean Square) represents the actual continuous power the device can deliver, ensuring stable and clear sound reproduction without distortion.
Frequency Range: 80 Hz - 20 kHz
The frequency response 80 Hz - 20 kHz provides a wide enough range to capture all the fine musical and sonic details.
Woofer: 5,25"
Thanks to 5,25" bass woofer, you will enjoy deep, rich and dynamic bass that adds a new dimension to your sound. This woofer is specially designed to offer clean and precise bass performance.
Sound Pressure Level - SPL (dB): 121
High SPL levels up to 121 dB allow you to experience the sound as it was originally intended, with sufficient volume and dynamics.
