Active 18" Subwoofer for Compact PA Systems

The dB Technologies SUB 618 is a bass-reflex active subwoofer built around an 18" transducer and a 600 W RMS Class D amplifier. A built-in 28/56-bit DSP and switchable crossover let one cabinet anchor a 2.1 satellite rig without external processing. Reaching 133 dB SPL from a 31.1 kg plywood enclosure, it delivers controlled low end for mobile DJs and small bands.

Built-In Crossover, Polarity, and Sub Mode

Two balanced XLR inputs feed a stereo crossover sent to the XLR outputs in True Bypass or Xover mode. A polarity inversion switch and a Sub Mode toggle (Flat or Boost) let the operator correct phase and add low-end weight without external EQ. Convection cooling keeps the amp stage silent in quiet applications.

18" Driver Output and Frequency Range

The 18" woofer with a 2.5" voice coil moves serious air down to 35 Hz, while the -10 dB limit of 130 Hz hands off cleanly to mid-high tops.
