Beyerdynamic TG D70 Microphone for bass drum
The second-generation TG D70 is a dynamic microphone and standard equipment for every kick drum. It’s your companion on stage, in clubs and in the studio – a must-have microphone for every drummer. With its natural sound, high-quality materials and robust construction, the microphone is a true and lasting companion. You can fully concentrate on your performance: Ambient noise, feedback and impacts are never an issue. It’s equally well suited for the cajón and bass guitar amplifiers.
Naturally warm sound - The microphone boasts beyerdynamic's characteristic natural sound so you’ll hear your kick drum just like you want it: as a pure, natural reproduction. It has a quick response and outstanding impulse fidelity – a true professional at your side.
Optimal isolation and feedback resistance - The hypercardioid characteristic ensures excellent isolation from ambient noises and strong feedback resistance. This makes the TG D70 ideally suited for such loud environments as on stage.
Optimised M88 capsule - Phil Collins and other big names in drumming have been using the M88. The dynamic capsule in the TG D70 is a further refinement of our legendary M88 capsule. Our audio experts have made it even better – in Germany. In this case, it’s true: A big capsule means a big sound.
Integrated elastic system suspension - The capsule system has elastic suspension. This prevents impacts from the floor or the stage floor from being transmitted through the stand.
High-quality materials and robust housing - It can get a bit hectic on stage and on tour. Microphones should be able to withstand a tumble. Vibrations and even an impact won’t affect the robust die-cast zinc housing. But the TG D70 is still slender and relatively light to transport. Thanks to its rather short shaft, mounting the microphone on its stand and positioning it in front of the kick drum cavity is perfectly feasible and requires only minimal space. And even for kick drums with very small cavities, a good position can also be found in front of the drum head. The TG D70 is your lasting companion.
Polar Pattern: Hypercardioid
A hypercardioid polar pattern offers an even narrower front sensitivity compared to a cardioid, with greater rejection of sounds from the sides and increased pickup from the rear. It is ideal for isolating sound sources in noisy environments but requires careful placement due to its rear sensitivity.
Frequency Range
- 40 Hz - 18 kHz
- 20 Hz - 18 kHz
Impedance: 280 Ohm
This value indicates the electrical resistance of the device to an alternating current. Common in microphones and musical equipment, 280 Ohm helps determine compatibility with preamps, mixers, and other audio gear.
