Arturia KeyStep 37 mk2 Master Keyboard White
The Arturia KeyStep 37 mk2 is a compact 37-key MIDI and CV controller and sequencer that bridges hardware synths, modular rigs, and DAWs in one unit. It pairs a Slimkey keybed with a polyphonic 64-step sequencer, 16-mode arpeggiator, and four CV/Gate outputs for hybrid setups of any size.
- 37 velocity-sensitive Slimkey keys with aftertouch for expressive playing on any rig
- 4 CV/Gate outputs (Pitch, Gate, Mod 1, Mod 2) assignable to LFO or envelope sources
- 16-mode arpeggiator with Mutate, Spice, and Dice generative tools for instant variation
- USB-C MIDI, full-size 5-pin DIN, and 3.5 mm Sync I/O for total studio integration
Arturia KeyStep 37 mk2 — Compact MIDI & CV Controller with Built-in Sequencer
The Arturia KeyStep 37 mk2 is a 37-key MIDI and CV controller and sequencer that bridges hardware synths, modular rigs, and DAWs. It pairs a Slimkey keybed with a polyphonic step sequencer, 16-mode arpeggiator, and four CV/Gate outputs.
What sets this controller apart
Each CV Mod output can be routed to a syncable multi-wave audio-rate LFO, an ASR envelope, or a rise/hold/fall C-envelope — modulation sources that normally need extra Eurorack modules. A global ratcheting engine (1×–4×) and a customisable Mutator reshape sequences live.
Keybed, aftertouch, and performance controls
The playing surface uses Arturia's Slimkey design — narrow, velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch.
- Keys: 37 Slimkey keys — wide enough for two-hand parts and full chord shapes
- Velocity & Aftertouch: Yes — expressive dynamics for MIDI and CV outputs
- Pitch & Mod: 2 capacitive touch strips — smooth bends without mechanical wheels
MIDI, USB, CV/Gate, and sync I/O
Connectivity is this model's strongest asset — it speaks MIDI, USB, CV/Gate, and analogue clock simultaneously. Ships with a USB cable and manual; runs on USB-C bus power.
- USB-C: Class-compliant MIDI + bus power — plug-and-play with DAW, iPad, or standalone synth
- MIDI DIN: Full-size 5-pin In/Out + Thru — talk to any hardware synth
- CV/Gate Outputs: 4 (Pitch, Gate, Mod 1, Mod 2) — assignable to velocity, aftertouch, mod wheel, LFO, or envelope
- Sync I/O + Sustain: 3.5 mm clock In/Out + TRS pedal input — locks to vintage gear and Eurorack tempo
Built-in sequencing and generative engines
The sequencer and arpeggiator run independently of a computer.
- Sequencer: Up to 64 steps, 8-voice polyphony — record or program chords and full arrangements
- Arpeggiator: 16 modes (Poly, Walk, Pattern, Random…) — generative patterns with Phrase Arp remapping
- Generative Tools: Mutate, Spice, Dice — instant melodic and rhythmic variation
- MIDI CC Banks: 4 banks × 4 CCs = 16 assignable controllers — hands-on control of external gear
Number of Keys: 37
This instrument has 37 keys, equivalent to 3 octaves, providing a wide range of tones for a variety of musical applications.

Sequencer: Yes
The sequencer provides musicians with a tool for composing and arranging music, allowing them to create and edit musical sequences. This feature allows you to record and play back repeating patterns. This makes it easy to create complex rhythms and melodies. The sequencer also allows you to layer different musical elements on top of each other, sync with other devices, and adjust parameters in real time. This flexibility makes the sequencer an invaluable tool for producing music, experimenting with new sounds and creating original compositions.
Pitch Bend: Yes
The Pitch Bend allows smooth pitch changes, adding expressiveness to musical expression. Often used to create effects such as glissando or vibrato, this feature allows the player to make subtle or dramatic changes to the sound in real time. Pitch bend allows musicians to create smooth transitions between notes, increasing the dynamics and expressiveness of their performances.

Recording Function: Yes
Recording allows you to record and save musical performances for later playback and analysis. This feature allows musicians to review their performances, identify areas to improve, and track their progress over time. Recording is also useful for creating songs, allowing you to layer different musical parts and experiment with different sounds and effects. In this way, recording becomes an invaluable tool for practicing, creating, and producing music.
