ART X-DIRECT DI box
Professional active direct box that allows connection of an instrument, line or speaker level signals to a mixer or other balanced input. It features high-impedance single-ended 1/4” and XLR inputs that are buffered and converted by very low-noise active electronics into an isolated balanced low-impedance signal source. It has an extremely flat and wide frequency response and can handle high signal levels while still maintaining an isolated balanced low impedance output – therefore it delivers a very clean, neutral sound with a wide variety of signal sources and over long signal runs even in high noise environments. Direct box features Input Attenuator switches that allow for a wide range of signal levels, a Input Link jack that allows for tapping off the signal chain, a Ground Lift switch that allows total separation of the input and output signal grounds when appropriate and reduction of hum and ground-loop noise, a switchable low pass Bessel Filter on the input that cuts out all very high frequency interference and reduces any digital computer noise when the direct box is used as an interface between a computer-based audio workstation and the monitors. In addition, device is equipped with a Phase Invert switch that allows switching signal polarity right at the source. The active circuitry of the direct box can be powered by an external power source (when using phantom power), or by an internal 9 V battery. Dimensions: 44.5 x 107 x 89 mm. Weight: 340 g.
