Ample Sound Ample China Xun - ACX (Digital product)

Ample China Xun — Ancient Sound, Modern Studio

Ample China Xun (ACX) brings the deep, resonant voice of one of China's oldest instruments into any modern DAW. The Xun has been played for more than 7,000 years, and this virtual instrument captures its earthy, breathy character through detailed multi-microphone sampling. It loads as a plugin on Mac and Windows in just a few clicks, so adding a genuine Chinese wind sound to a track no longer requires booking a live session.

What makes this Xun library stand out

Sampled from a real Zhuhong Jinlong Series 9-Hole Xun played by Xiaokui Ding of the China National Traditional Orchestra, the library covers 22 articulations split into Head and Body groups. An intelligent legato system picks transitions automatically based on note timing, while five microphone positions and three modes shape the final tone from intimate close-miked to distant and atmospheric.

Who should try Ample China Xun

The ACX is the right choice for film composers, game audio designers, and world-music producers who need an authentic Xun sound that loads instantly. Beginners will appreciate the included Riffer 4 sequencer with one-click Auto Expression and Auto Vibrato, while anyone working on cinematic, atmospheric, or culturally-themed productions will enjoy the depth this ancient instrument brings to a mix.
